Dear Friend of the ACO:

In April we sent out a message about the serious impact of super storm Sandy on the property at the home of the American College of Orgonomy. I am pleased to let you know about the success of our recent ACO Storm Preparedness Fundraiser, which had a goal of $20,750 to help insure that our operations, training programs and public events would continue uninterrupted in the event of future damaging storms. Our fundraising goal was surpassed thanks to the generosity and support of our donors who contributed a total of $22,073 to the fund. In addition, we also received a donation of a portable generator, which was one of the items we intended to purchase with these funds. We have already installed new basement sump pumps and a whole house surge protector and are in the process of making arrangements for the following:

In addition, our Property Improvement Project, which was set back by super storm Sandy last October, continues to make strides so that our headquarters' property becomes a place that better supports the work of the College. We will be updating you soon on our progress.

My sincere thanks goes out to everyone who contributed toward our Storm Preparedness Fundraiser. It is only with your help that we will ensure the future of our home for orgonomy.

Sincerely,

Dear Friend of the ACO:

In late October of 2012, Hurricane Sandy swept through the Caribbean and up the East Coast of the United States causing massive devastation and destruction. The ACO weathered the storm, but not without damage to our building and property. Ironically, the ACO Property Improvement Project was also set back several months.

Sandy’s 90 mile per hour winds uprooted over a dozen large evergreens, which are still in the process of being removed from our front lawn and surrounding areas (see additional photos). The hurricane also caused a two-week power outage at the College resulting in the flooding of our basement with total loss of all its contents, as well as the interruption of our operations and training programs.

The devastation throughout the state of New Jersey and the entire tri-state region has served to make us all aware that we need to be better prepared for any future eventuality. Please consider donating to the ACO Storm Preparedness Fund and help to insure that our operations, vital training programs and public events continue uninterrupted in the event of storms like Hurricane Sandy and smaller storms that are still capable of causing damage. We are in need of funds for this purpose in the amount of $20,750 to be used as follows:

Any donation, no matter the size, is greatly appreciated. It is only with your generous help that we can be better prepared for what nature may have in store for the future.
